EPA General Assistance Program (GAP)

The GAP program provides training, support, and oversight to all other environmental protection programs and EPO staff. The primary goal of the GAP program is to build capacity for sustainable operation of the Environmental Protection Office (EPO). In this way the GAP program forms the foundation from which other programs are built upon. The Environmental Director and the Environmental Manager are responsible for implementing program tasks including day to day management of EPO staff and specific projects that support the EPO’s mission. The Director and Manager also work on collecting input from tribal residents, evaluating environmental issues, strategic planning, and program development including working to take on delegated authority under federal environmental statutes.
